Time to Quickly Ramble

April, oh what a month, especially this year. I'm struggling, I know it. In two days, I turn sixty years of age...wow, it's even hard to type it, let alone mentally contemplate it. It's like time to grow up...recess is over, life is knocking at the door, and I can't turn on the lights. I like to say 'If life is a buffet, why are so many people starving?' Look at me, starving I'm not, but confused and concerned I am. Those of you who know me may find this hard to believe. I want to get Tax day and Taxing day behind me. April 15th and April 17th, what's in your wallet?
I'm going back to Florida to check on my step-dad. I'm fantasizing everything from playing a round of golf with him (impossible) to being written out of his will (now that is scary). Wealth does that. It makes one crazy. And I'm not sure if it is He or it is Me. The Lord knows I have done everything I can to support him in his time of need. But my hunch is his dementia is not serving me well right now. I will be damned if I let it get to me. Trust in what's right. Don't worry, be Happy.
Go running again. Meet some new friends. Live, and let live. One day at a time.
