Very Thankful - It Could Have Been Much Worse!

Hello, my friend. It's time to check-in and share with you a 9/11 memory. Yes, Sunday, 9/11, a day that will live on in my memory forever. Not for the 10 year anniversary of the NYC attack but for the simple-headed accident I had on a motorcycle.
Yes, I was engaged. I was doing everything right until I locked my front brake in a slow turn and got 'bucked' off the bike in a big way. Here it is four days later and I'm just starting to move. Absolutely crushed my left big toe with 400 pounds of Buell Blast, 500 cc motorcycle and whacked my left thigh just above the knee so badly I am still significantly hobbled. Made a Doctor's appointment for Monday to see if I permanently damaged anything. I'm hurting. But I am learning. I was focused and motivated. It felt good. After 10 hours of riding, I was doing comfortably well. But, not well enough. Now I must get well and start again. Motorcycle Safety Class dropout due to injury. My friends think I'm a little crazy. But what is life if you are not engaged in something that get's you going? I'll be back and I will be better for it.
